Haloes, white and suns-
Angels on high are smiling
Sky paintings rain down

razorblade terrain,
Fierce… strange yet spectacular
climb the Mountainside

Lions prowl the day
Stalking prey; creatures’ beauty,
Beholden-respect

Born of rock dome-
The eye of the Sahara
Magma, unknown form

Red-winged blackbirds fly
Blackbirds join the sky
